"Musiikkityyliltään yhtye edustaa mahdollisimman hankalasti lokeroitavaa tunnelmametallia. Jos vertauksia on pakko harrastaa, niin kuvitelkaapa, miltä Anathema kuulostaisi Opethin progressiivisuudella ja Katatonian raskaudella sekä tummalla naislaululla kuorrutettua. Lopputulos on Embassy of Silence ..."...READ MORE

"Already the first song "Soul-Broken" spreads such a warm, vibrantly and at the same time arcane atmosphere that makes you feel like listening to a beautiful and exiting tale about life, love and its mysteries. Therefore Embassy of Silence did not invent new tales and did not invent a new way how to tell them. But that is not what is important. What is is the question - do they manage to win over the audience? At this point of course I can only speak for myself: they won! And I think I can go so far to claim that with "Euphorialight" Embassy of Silence will win a lot more to come! Catchy melodies without unnecessary bombast and an interesting mixture between slow, fine compositions and charming, groovy, pace songs that invite to sing along give a guarantee of my claim."

Hieman samalla tavalla Embassy of Silence sävyttää kappaleitaan salakavalalla tyylillään esimerkiksi akustisuuksien, erikoisten tahtilajien ja poikkeavien melodioitten voimin."...READ MORE

"EMMERDALE OF SCHEISSE?Embassy of Silencen kokoonpanon taustoilta löytyy paljon erilaisia bändejä aina äärimetallia ja doomia myöten. Tähän verrattuna Embassy of Silence edustaakin jotain ihan muuta progevivahteisen rockin ja metallin kohtaamisellaan, bändin tähdättyä kitaristi Tero Kalliomäen ja laulaja Ines Lukkasen mukaan tietoisesti juuri nykyiseen muotoonsa."

"A few years back it was already clear to us that Embassy of Silence has the potential for something big. Unfortunately the world didn't suck them in as expected though. Good things come to those who wait they say, and at once, Embassy of Silence are looming large with their freshly baked debut "Euphorialight". In all their modesty and sincerity we reined their current speed to catch up with guitarist Tero Kalliomäki and femme fatale-vocalist Ines Lukkanen. The last time we checked on your doings was one and a half years ago. Since then things have changed quite vastly for EoS. We are approaching the release of your first debut album ”Euphorialight” and the Finnish music magazine Inferno graced you with a cover story. How does it feel to be a signed band now, almost ”from zero to hero”?"

"The project named Embassy of Silence already stood out with their first demo as an exceptional atmosphere-creator, and now their journey continues as a band. In addition to the skillful compositions, the golden voice of Ines Lukkanen is truly the bedrock of this orchestra. One doesn't encounter as powerful and colorful singing, with an appropriate sensitivity every day. The heavy-set atmospheres are far from pretty much everything you'd tend to associate this kind of concept with, and therefore it's difficult to describe this music that appeals to the feelings and has personality. Even the well-done Nick Cave -cover Where the Wild Roses Grow doesn't quite help in this task."DESIBELI.NET - "Wendigo Winter"

"Embassy of Silence is the duo consisting of the vocalist Ines Lukkanen and the multi-instrumentalist Tero Kalliomäki, both active in the band-circuit, now heading somewhere between hard rock and melodic metal. Kalliomäki, known to be, for example, the guitar player/composer of the doom metal –band Saattue, has created atmospheric compositions for the ep Wendigo Winter, which would not fit into the repertoire of Saattue style-wise.Embassy of Silence manages to capture catchy melodies, frequently featuring grandeur and soft atmosphere superbly. The clear and good articulation as well as beautiful voice of Lukkanen and the acoustic guitars of Kalliomäki brings a high-quality core to the band, which should pave the way towards a tad more personal touch in the future. The metal-sections of record shops are already filled with forced roughness and hard sounds…
Wendigo Winter gives inkling, that the duo might well hold the keys to success, for especially Lilith Aether contains such significant hit-potential. The maturity of production of the promo is also worth mentioning. The recording and mixing have been done with a clearly professional touch. "

"Embassy of Silence is practically a spin-off of the band Saattue, as the orchestra began as an idea of the quest singer on the record debut of Saattue and the actual songwriter of the band, to put together a different project. Wendigo Winter is the first recording of Embassy of Silence, playing melodic, atmospheric and female-fronted metal. The attached bio promises acoustic atmosphere and experimentalism, and such dark and atmospheric musical professionals as Opeth and Anathema are listed as the band’s influences. Their cross-breed would seem to be interesting style-wise, when succeeding, but it’s difficult to say anything about the future record judging by these three songs alone.During the first beats, the experimentation lifts its head, and the initial impression of the first song is a bit vague and strange. The atonal intro and verse cause mixed feelings to the surface. Once you get past the beginning, the song levels its flow. In the end, the content strikes you as positive, and the confusing start seems like a well-grounded solution. The other two songs are far easier to approach, and more straightforward and satisfying compositions. The experimentation holds together better, the music itself works more clearly, and I hope that the two last songs describe the future record better than the opening tune. The promo also contains hit-material, as the choruses stick to your head like glue, and that’s a sign that something has been done right.
Wendigo Winter promises good things for the debut of Embassy of Silence. Although the promo doesn’t entirely fill the given description, it’s a good product in its genre, and raises expectations for the next published work. Even if the song material isn’t the most unique in the world, the majority of the songs aside from the odd start of the first song, have been done with professionalism, and there is always a spot for well-made metal in my collection"
